Smell the moisture in the air, I think it’s gonna rain

It’s been dry for so long, on this desert plane
It’s a feeling deep and holy, when wetness finally hits the ground
Calming nature and the spirit, there’s a sweetness to be found

Walking back-dirt roads, kicking up the dust

Passions of yesterday, of sweet untempered lust
Of visions and of Yew trees, of caves t’were angeled winged
Of fleeces made of gold and of hallowed springs

Waters wild and wanton, ripping quarry from its banks

Of dragons, fairies and currendera’s – of legends and of fates
Journey’s of the holy, the adventurer’s delight
Culling mermaids bones with urchins – from intuitive sight

Of these I place my memories, on the dry sea ancient bed

Mixing the millennia of the almighty sacred dead

I place my chest - face to the ground
When it’s time to become one

My restless soul with eternity, to become part

Of the ethereal glow
