We're Ready to Rock the Extra-Terrestrial Ball
susanlowery copyright 12/31/2009

Picked up and left behind the lights of LA
City of Angles, so they say
Land of acrylic nails and Hollywood sets
Mean grocery shoppers who haven't "made it" yet

I was from Oregon and he was from Mass
45th parallels, across the US
time in the headlights took a turn for the worse
We shelled out shillings from our sow's eared purse

Startin' all over in the great southwest
knee-deep in desert - Green Acres - you bet!
Tried to grow us, an iris or two
But what rocked our world
Was what the backyard crystals drew.........

Alien-o, little green men
Show me the grays and blues 'neath the Dulce Labyrinth
We hear you callin' - "come one and all"
Now we're ready to rock the extra terrestrial ball

Lights ore' the Sandia's in triangle shapes
Hookin' up in the sky - then comes the escape
We hear the hum and feel the pulse at our feet
Geronimo was here, baby that izzzzzzz neat!!!!

Winter in New Mexico

I love trying to get a bunch of color in my environment,
especially this time of the year when outside almost everything has gone dormant and turned brown for the winter.

Albuquerque Old Towne Christmas

Nikita and I took a leisurely ride down to Old Town last week. We also drove along the Corrales Hwy. and Rio Grand Blvd. It was really pretty.

Here are a few fabulous photos that Dan took during
Balloon Fiesta. I think that these shots are of the "Dawn Patrol." The Dawn Patrol goes out and checks the thermals prior to any of the ascensions to make sure that the conditions are safe for all of the balloonists. These were all taken from our backyard.

Snow and Wind Day...........

Hard to believe but we actually had a "wind" day.
It could have been a snow day, if it had
kept snowing, but it didn't.
We simply had extreme winds that blew out communication centers.
Well, in spite of that, I got our computer set up. So it worked out really well.
Thank you Mother Nature.
